    Welcome to the 2016 MIT Grad Gala. This year’s Starry-Night will be hosted at the beautiful Sheraton in Downtown Boston. Come join us for a formal night of dancing, music, and revelry. The night will feature a formal dinner accompanied by a live band and a dance floor that van Gogh would be proud of.

    What?
    The Grad Gala, MIT’s premier formal event for graduate students, will take place on Saturday April 16th, 2016. The evening will start with a cocktail hour at 7:30pm in the Sheraton Ball Room, followed by a formal dinner with live music that will transition into a evening of dancing.

    Who?
    Any current MIT graduate student may purchase up to two tickets.

    Ticket Information
    Tickets will be sold online starting Monday February 29th at 12 PM. Get your tickets early! First 250 tickets will receive discounted prices. Regular price: $50; early-bird price: $45. Tickets are non-refundable.

    The 2015 Grad Gala will be held at the Sheraton in downtown Boston. It will be featured in the Sheraton ball room, a beautiful venue designed for large formal events promising to make the evening magical.

    Early bird tickets will be available February 29th (at 12:00 noon), for the first 250 tickets sold, and tickets will be sold at the regular price until they are sold out.

    When will ticket sales open?
    Registration will open on Wednesday, February 29th, 2015 at 12:00 pm (noon).

    How much do tickets cost?
    There is a $45 per person early bird price available for the first 250 tickets sold. Regular tickets will be $50 per person. Order early and often.

    Who may buy tickets?
    ONLY MIT graduate students (including MIT Sloan students) may buy tickets. Please note that the Gala is a 21+ event.

    How many tickets can I buy?
    You may purchase up to two tickets (for yourself and a guest).

    How can I make sure all my friends are seated together?
    There will be no assigned seating at this gala; hence, if you would like to sit with your friends it would be easiest if you arrive together.

    I'm having trouble buying my tickets online. What do I do?
    Please contact either gsc-gradgala [at] mit.edu and MIT adMITone at tickets [at] mit.edu. Tickets will sell out very fast; contacting us both will help resolve your issue faster.

    What should I wear to the Gala?
    The dress code for the Gala is formal. i.e. tuxedos, suits, gowns, and cocktail dresses are appropriate.

    What is the schedule of the Gala?

    Will there be alcohol served at the Gala?
    Yes. The Gala is a 21+ event, so please make sure to bring your govt. ID. There will be full bars at the venue where you can purchase any drinks you would like. Wine will be provided at the tables; all bars will be cash-bars.

    I have dietary restrictions. Will there be food for me?
    We will be providing vegetarian options. Please contact us with specific questions.

    What do I need to bring with me?
    Make sure to bring your ticket (in paper or on your phone), your MIT ID, and a govt. issued ID (since the event is 21+, you will NOT be admitted without appropriate identification).

    I just found out that I can't attend the Gala any more. Can I get a refund for my ticket(s)?
    No, we do not issue refunds. You can however sell your ticket to another interested student through the Ticket Exchange, which will open on this website after tickets sell out.
